A logbook for the
night sky.

Log every observation. Catalog every piece of gear. Compare notes with people who can tell M81 from M82 at a glance. AstroCaddy is the iPhone app for amateur astronomers — built by one.

Built for the way you already observe.

If you keep a notebook by your eyepiece, this is for you. If you don't yet, this is also for you.

Sky Log

Every observation, dated and tagged. Equipment used, conditions, optional location, photos. Search later by object, by date, by gear.

Frequently asked.

Things people ask before they download.

When does it launch?
Pending Apple's review queue. Should be in the App Store within a few days of you reading this. Drop your email above and we'll let you know the moment it's live.
Is there an Android version?
Not at launch. iOS is built and submitted; Android is on the roadmap for later in 2026 once the iOS version has some footing.
Do I need a telescope to use it?
No. Naked-eye observations count just as much. The app supports observations made with naked eye, binoculars, or any scope. Many of the best entries on the leaderboards belong to people working from a Bortle-7 backyard with a pair of 10×50s.
How is this different from Stellarium or Star Walk?
Those are excellent sky maps — they show you what's up tonight. AstroCaddy is what you fill in afterward: which of those objects you actually observed, what gear you used, and what your friends are seeing. Different layer of the stack.
Will my data be sold or used for ads?
No. AstroCaddy has no ads, no analytics SDKs, no trackers, no data sharing with third parties. Your logs and equipment are yours. The full breakdown is in the privacy policy.
What happens if I delete my account?
Everything is erased — observations, vault, posts, photos, follows, groups. No retained backup. The "Delete my account" button is in Settings.
